The 6th Hainan Provincial Games Surfing Competition resumes at Wanning Riyue Bay

On the morning of November 5th, the surfing competition of the 6th Hainan Provincial Games resumed smoothly in Riyue Bay, Wanning. More than 100 surfers from 9 cities and counties including Wanning, Baisha, Baoting, Danzhou, Ledong, Lingshui, Qiongzhong, Qionghai, and Sanya participated in the competition.

This surfing competition lasts for 3 days and will continue until November 8th. The competition is divided into adult and youth groups, with individual and team events. The individual events include men's and women's long board events and men's and women's short board events. Team events include men's and women's short board team events, men's and women's long board team events, and mixed team events.

The 6th Hainan Provincial Games has 16 major sports events and 369 sub events. Surfing competition is the only sports event held outside of Danzhou City in the 6th Hainan Provincial Games, and it is also the first opening event of this year's Provincial Games. To ensure the smooth resumption of the surfing competition, the Wanning Municipal Government and the organizing committee have collaborated closely and solidly promoted the implementation of epidemic prevention and control, accommodation and reception, vehicle support and other work. During the registration period of the representative teams in various cities and counties, the organizing committee requires all competition related personnel to hold a nucleic acid test certificate within 48 hours, and to provide dedicated staff at the hotel to strictly implement epidemic prevention and control measures such as scanning and checking the "venue code", temperature measurement, and wearing masks to ensure the smooth holding of the competition.
