The Qiyun Mountain Xiake Ancient Trail Hiking Race of the 2022 Yangtze River Delta Green Water and Green Mountain Games has come to a successful conclusion

On the morning of November 6th, at the Qiyun Mountain Scenic Area, a national 4A level scenic spot, the Qiyun Mountain Xiake Ancient Trail Hiking Race of the 2022 Yangtze River Delta Green Water and Green Mountain Games kicked off. Nearly 300 athletes enjoyed the joy of running or hiking on the scenic track of the scenic area.

      Bi Pumin, Deputy Director of the Standing Committee of Mount Huangshan Municipal People's Congress, and Xu Ronghua, Vice Chairman of the CPPCC Municipal Committee, attended the opening ceremony. Zhuo Qi, Deputy Mayor of Xiuning County, announced the opening of the competition. Tang Jin, Deputy Secretary of the CPC Xiuning County Committee and County Chief, delivered a welcome speech. Wu Xiaosheng, Director of the Mount Huangshan Municipal Bureau of Culture and Tourism, Lin Xueji, Deputy Director of the Municipal Bureau of Sports, and others attended the opening ceremony. Hu Fen, Deputy County Chief of Xiuning County, presided over the opening ceremony. At 8am, the leaders and guests fired shots for the contestants, and the competition kicked off!

   The Qiyun Mountain Xiake Ancient Road Hiking Competition was co sponsored by the Shanghai Municipal Sports Bureau, Jiangsu Provincial Sports Bureau, Zhejiang Provincial Sports Bureau, Anhui Provincial Sports Bureau, Mount Huangshan Municipal People's Government, and undertaken by Mount Huangshan Municipal Sports Bureau, Huangshan Municipal Culture and Tourism Bureau, and Xiuning County Government. The event has two categories: a 15 kilometer hiking group and a mountain half marathon group, attracting runners from provinces and cities such as Jiangsu, Zhejiang, Shanghai, as well as Anhui Province to participate.

     Contestants depart from the tourist center of Qiyun Mountain Scenic Area, passing through multiple check-in points such as the back mountain of Qiyun Mountain, Dishui Cave, Dengfeng Bridge, Yuehua Street, Wulao Peak, and Ziyun Pass, enjoying the beautiful scenery of Qiyun Mountain in the golden autumn.

   After intense competition, Tong Hao, Xiang Junlong, Yang Jie, Wang Xiaofeng, Wu Jiawei, Ling Wei, Jiang Ziqiang, and Xu Zhiliang finally finished in the top eight of the men's mountain half marathon with scores of 1:20:19, 1:21:21:24, 1:22:03, 1:23:15, 1:24:02, 1:24:48, 1:26:51, and 1:28:12, respectively. The top eight female contestants were Wu Xuanxia, Yu Qian, Chang Miaomiao, Zhu Hui, Xu Hongyan, Wang Changrong, Fang Meizhen, and Ye Jia with scores of 1:31:39, 1:36:11, 1:37:38, 1:41:00, 1:44:02, 1:44:48, 1:45:02, and 1:45:50, respectively.

The other finishing contestants also received exquisite finishing commemorative medals.

At noon, all participants returned to the finish line, and the Qiyun Mountain Xiake Ancient Trail Hiking Race came to a successful conclusion!

The organizing committee held this event in strict compliance with the requirements of epidemic prevention and control.

The Qiyun Mountain Xiake Ancient Trail Hiking Race aims to implement the concept of "green mountains and clear waters are as valuable as mountains of gold and silver", deepen sports cooperation in the Yangtze River Delta region, transform the ecological advantages of the Yangtze River Delta into development advantages, use sports events as carriers, stimulate urban vitality, promote sports consumption, continuously meet the fitness needs of the masses, improve people's health levels, and promote the deep integration of cultural tourism and sports.

The contestants of this competition can not only experience the long-awaited fun of the event, but also enjoy free admission to the scenic area with their participation numbers during the registration and competition days. This is a sports event that promotes the deep integration of cultural tourism and sports.
